New Bottle Eases Transition from Breast to Bottle

Transitioning your baby from breast and bottle can be a daunting task for any parent, whether you’re new to the game or if you’re an experienced player!  But, just when you think that you're ready to hold up the white flag of surrender to your bottle picky baby,  think again! The mimijumi Very Hungry/Not So Hungry bottle set was designed by a father (who also happens to be a physician) and a psychiatrist, who struggled with what they both felt were poorly designed transitional bottles available on the market.  Inspired by their own personal struggles as well as years of gathering and analyzing research from mothers, doctors and lactation experts, they were able create a product that meets the unique needs of both mother and baby.
I recently received a sample of the mimijumi Very Hungry bottle, and it is clear to see that the design of the bottle was based upon the dynamics of transitional feeding.  When the time comes that you have decided to wean your baby from breast to bottle, the titled angle of the textured, easy-to-attach nipple closely resembles a mom’s breastassisting your little one to easily latch on just as they would to your breast.   But, a word of warning─ latching on is key, as your baby must attach onto the nipple in order for the bottle to express milk.   The wide mouth makes for quick, easy filling (I happily observed  that unlike other bottles, there was no leaking from the mimijumi Very Hungry bottle when filled), and best of all, the one piece, snap-off cap and no-skid bottom bottle is free of BPA and phthalates.  The bottle design includes a ventilation system that aids baby’s delicate digestion, helping to ease the symptoms of colic. The nylon bottle is easy to clean (safe to clean on the top rack of your dishwasher), and can be sterilized with any traditional method including boiling and microwave sterilizing devices.
Retailing for $14.99, The Very Hungry bottle (pictured below) is 8 oz., and comes with a Flow Rate 1 nipple.  The Not So Hungry bottle is 4 oz., comes with a Flow Rate 1 nipple and retails for $13.99.   For further information, please visit the mimijumi website at: http://mimijumi.com/

Introducing Organic Male OM4 Sensitive Skin Collection

My husband has always experienced complex, oily skin ever since his teen aged years.  Unfortunately, he’s not alone, as men’s skin tends to be more oilier than women’s due to the production of testosterone.  Typically, the higher oil production in men is the trigger for a series of male skin conditions, including acne, large pores and other types of irritating blemishes.  Finding that healthy balance between keeping his skin clean and fresh looking without drying it out has truly been a struggle for him.  But, let’s face it unlike women, the practicing of a daily skin care routine pretty much takes a backseat for men.
The Organic Male OM4 line is a type-specific, complete four step line that goes by the mantra4 Products/4 Steps/4 Minutes/4 Men.  The Sensitive Skin Collection contains extracts of essential ingredients from ocean marine actives, including spirulina, dulse, red seaweed as well as soothing herbs like chamomile and calming green tea.
We recently received samples of the OM4 Sensitive Skin Collection, and it couldn’t have come at a better time for my hubby, since his face has been very red and irritated lately.  The OM4 Sensitive Skin Collection (the collection is also available in normal/oily/encore) products that my husband tried out included the following:
1.       Marine Mineral and Green Tea Gel Wash
2.       Soothing Ocean Mineral Splash
3.       Phytonutrient Cellular Repair Serum
4.       Sea Essentials Calming Moisturizer

This cruelty, paraben and SLS-free organic line has quickly become a favorite in our household.  It is extremely easy to use, and just as the company promotes, actually took less than four minutes to apply perfect for men like my husband who just either don't have the time or want to take the time out necessary to care for their damaged skin.  After two weeks of using each of the four products, we’ve witnessed a huge change in his complexion.   The redness in his complexion has lessened, and he says that it’s just a real pleasure to not feel the oiliness on his face, especially around his chin and forehead.
The OM4 Sensitive Skin Collection can be available for purchase either online or in numerous spas across the nation.  To find a retailer near you, or for further information about OM4 skincare,  please visit their website at: http://www.om4men.com
